"My name is Mélissa Péloquin and I'm the founder of Parcours Design Créatif. I am an interior designer and I offer my services in the area of Lanaudière and surrounding areas, mainly for projects residential and sales representatives.

I've only recently started my own business, but I'm benefiting from more 20 years ofexperience in creative projects. My background includes training in scenographyfollowed by a specialization in interior design. I wanted to take on my own projects, to accompany my customers from A to Z, from creation to realization. What motivated me most of all was the human contact I lacked in my previous jobs. I wanted to share this connection and work closely with my customers.

The name Parcours Design Créatif reflects my own background:
I've had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of environments, notably as a prop-maker on a number of projects. television sets and theater. I've made accessories and worked on many creative projects. These experiences have enabled me to develop a unique background which I now apply to my interior design projects. This richness allows me to propose bolder, more innovative designs.

My approach is also based on the journey I take with my customers. I accompany each project from its launch to its completion, by working hand in hand with my customers. This support is an essential part of my work, as it creates a strong bond and makes each project unique.

When I decided to start my own business, I turned to the SADC. I'd heard of them before, and it was a reflex for me to contact them. I met Jean-Michel Gagnéwho helped me enormously. Their team offers relevant advice, a great availabilityand a affordable and accessible financial support. Thanks to them, I've been able to buy the expensive hardware and software I needed to start up my business, and even take training courses to enhance my skills.

The SADC also enabled me to out of isolation that self-employment can bring. They put me in touch with mentors and encouraged me to join networks, such as Montcalm MRC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Participating in their activities has helped me broaden my horizons. network and meet other entrepreneurs.

Today, thanks to this adventure, I feel more confident and better surrounded to develop my business and accompany my customers in their interior design projects."
